Ireland’s gross domestic product contracted by 0.1% quarter-on-quarter in the three months to September 2025, following a 0.2% expansion in the previous period, according to preliminary estimates.
This marks the first economic decline since the fourth quarter of 2023, largely reflecting a downturn in the multinational-dominated industrial sector.
On an annual basis, the economy grew by 10.5%, easing from a 17.1% expansion recorded in the previous quarter.
