Irish Construction Output Growth at Near 3-Year High

Construction output in Ireland rose 6.8% year-on-year in Q4 2024, up from a 4.5% increase in the previous quarter, marking the fastest growth since Q1 2022.

Activity accelerated across multiple sectors, including buildings excluding civil engineering (7.7% vs.

5.4% in Q3), non-residential buildings (9.3% vs.

5.6%), and civil engineering works (3.7% vs.

0.8%).

However, residential building growth slowed to 0.4% from 4.4%.

On a quarterly basis, construction activity expanded by 1%.
