Irish Construction Output Grows at Highest Rate Since Mid-2022

Construction output in Ireland increased by 4.5% year-on-year in Q3 2024, up from an upwardly revised 0.6% in the previous quarter and marking the fastest growth since Q2 2022.

Non-residential building production accelerated (5.7% vs 2.5% in Q2), while growth in residential buildings slowed (4.4% vs 7.8%).

Meanwhile, civil engineering sector production volume rebounded (0.8% vs -6.6%).

On a quarterly basis, construction activity expanded by 0.9% in Q3, following a 3.3% increase in the previous quarter.
