Finnish Jobless Rate Rises to 5-Month High

Finland’s unemployment rate climbed to 9.7% in November 2025 from 8.1% in the same month of the previous year.
This marked the highest reading since June, as the number of unemployed persons increased by 50 thousand from a year earlier to 276 thousand, with 151 thousand unemployed men and 125 thousand for women.
The unemployment rate for people aged 15 to 24 jumped to 20.5%, which was 5.0 percentage points more than a year ago.
Meanwhile, the number of employed persons decreased by 4 thousand to 2.566 million, while the labor force participation rate rose to 68.1% from 67.2% a year ago.
The employment rate for persons aged 20 to 64 edged down to 75.6% from 75.7%.
