Finnish Industrial Output Growth Highest Since 2021

Industrial production in Finland surged by 10.1% year-on-year in April 2025, following a 7.8% advance in the previous month.

This marked the strongest expansion in industrial activity since December 2021, as output accelerated for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (15.5% vs 6.8% in March) and manufacturing (9.1% vs 8.9%).

Additionally, production rebounded sharply for mining and quarrying (4.1% vs -7%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity rose by 1.6% in April, slowing from an upwardly revised two-year high of 3.7% increase in the preceding period.
