The annual inflation rate in Estonia slowed to 3.1% in February 2026 from 3.7% in the previous month.
This marked the lowest reading since September 2024, mainly driven by declines in costs for clothing and footwear (-5.7% vs -4.9% in January) and insurance and financial services (-13.3% vs -14.5%).
At the same time, inflation softened for food and non-alcoholic beverages (5.5% vs 6%), housing (1.5% vs 5.6%), recreation and culture (2.3% vs 3,1%), and restaurants and accommodation services (4.6% vs 5.1%).
On the other hand, prices increased at a faster pace for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (7.9% vs 6.2%), healthcare (12% vs 11.7%), and information and communication (1.7% vs -0.1%), while transport costs declined less (-0.4% vs -1.5%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.8% in February, following a 1% increase in the preceding period.
