Estonia Inflation Rate at Near 2-Year High

The annual inflation rate in Estonia rose to 5.4% in July 2025 from 5.0% in the previous month.
This marked the highest reading since July 2023, as prices increased faster for food and non-alcoholic beverages (9.1% vs 8.4% in June), alcohol and tobacco (4.9% vs 2.9%), transport (8.9% vs 7.5%), communications (1.9% vs 0.7%), recreation and culture (9.0% vs 7.4%), education (2.5% vs 2.2%), and health (10.5% vs 10.1%).
Meanwhile, inflation slowed for household goods (2.8% vs 3.1%), hotels, cafes and restaurants (5.4% vs 8.7%), and miscellaneous goods and services (4.7% vs 5.2%).
Moreover, prices declined further for housing (-1.8% vs -0.6%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices eased to 0.6% in July, following a 0.9% gain in June.
