Estonia’s industrial production fell by 1.1% year-on-year in October 2025, easing from an upwardly revised 1.7% drop in the previous month.
This marked the second month of decline since January, as output increased for the mining and quarrying sector (5.4% vs 4.8% in September), while it recovered for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (0.3% vs -18.5%).
On the other hand, output declined further for the manufacturing sector (-1.4% vs -0.7%), particularly, due to further declines in the manufacture of grain mill products, starches, and starch products (-7.4% vs -2.9%), chemical and chemical products (-6.7% vs 3.5%), and electrical equipment (-6.8% vs 2.4%).
On a monthly basis, industrial activity rose by 2.4% in October, rebounding from an upwardly revised 1.3% fall in the preceding period.
