Retail sales in Denmark rose by 4.7% year-on-year in November 2025, easing from a six-month high 4.9% increase in the previous month.
The slowdown was mainly driven by a decline in sales of food and other groceries (-0.3% vs 1.0% in October).
At the same time, trade growth moderated for other consumer goods (8.2% vs 8.6%).
On the other hand, activity advanced at a faster pace for clothing (4.4% vs 1.5%).
On a monthly basis, retail sales went up by 1.5% in November, its strongest growth since February 2024, following an upwardly revised 1.0% increase in the preceding period.
