Czech Republic Inflation Rate Confirmed at 1.8%

The annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic eased sharply to 1.8% in April 2025 from 2.7% in the previous month, confirming initial estimates and market forecasts.
This marked the lowest reading since March 2018, with downward pressure coming mainly from moderated prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.1% vs 6.1% in March), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.0% vs 5.2%), and furnishings, household equipment and maintenance (0.8% vs 1.4%).
At the same time, costs declined further for transport (-3.2% vs -1.9%).
Meanwhile, inflation rose slightly for housing and utilities (1.7% vs 1.5%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.1% in April, following a 0.1% increase in March.
