Czech Republic Current Account Shifts to Surplus

The Czech Republic’s current account posted a surplus of CZK 29.36 billion in September 2025, shifting from a deficit of CZK 8.73 billion in the same month of the previous year.
The goods account surplus widened to CZK 45.81 billion from CZK 37.17 billion in September 2024.
At the same time, the primary income deficit narrowed sharply to CZK 14.37 billion from CZK 47.96 billion, while the secondary income shortfall decreased to CZK 6.23 billion from CZK 6.66 billion.
Meanwhile, the services account surplus narrowed to CZK 4.15 billion in September 2025, from CZK 8.72 billion in the corresponding month last year.
