Croatia Industrial Output Eases in December

Croatia’s industrial production rose by 4.5% year-on-year in December 2025, easing from a downwardly revised 8.7% climb in the previous month.

This marked the third consecutive month of growth in industrial activity, albeit at a softer pace, as output moderated in the manufacturing industry (6.4% vs 10.6% in November), particularly in food products (1.2% vs 4.1%), beverages (19% vs 49.5%), textiles (-0.2% vs 5.9%), and leather and related products (-9% vs 5.7%).

At the same time, mining and quarrying recorded a flat reading after a sharp 5.1% decline a month earlier.

Meanwhile, output declined further for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-6% vs -0.3%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity grew by 1.2%, following a downwardly revised 0.6% rise in the preceding period.

Considering the whole year, industrial output grew by 3.8% compared to the same period last year.

Croatia Industrial Output Growth Quickens to 4-1/2-Year High
Croatia's industrial production climbed by 8.8% year-on-year in November 2025, following a 5.5% advance in October. This marked the second consecutive month of growth in industrial activity and the strongest since May 2021, underpinned by manufacturing (10.6% vs 5.5% in October), particularly other transport equipment (130.5%); printing and reproduction of recorded media (52% vs -13.8%) and beverages (48.8%). On the other hand, declines were seen for mining & quarrying (-5.1% vs -1.4%) and electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-0.3% vs 9.4%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output went up by 1.1% in November, down from a 3.1% rise in the previous month. Considering the January-to-November period of 2025, industrial output grew 3.8% over a year ago.

Croatia Industrial Output at 6-Month High
Croatia's industrial production increased by 5.5% year-on-year in October 2025, rebounding from a 0.1% fall in the previous month. It marked the strongest growth since April, as output accelerated for manufacturing (5.5% vs 3.2% in September), particularly in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products, manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, and manufacture of basic metals. Moreover, output fell at a softer pace for mining and quarrying (-1.4% vs -2.5%), while it recovered for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (9.4% vs -14.3%). On a monthly basis, industrial output climbed 3.1% from 0.5% in October, the highest level since December 2024.
