Bulgaria Producer Inflation Down to 9.6%

Producer prices in Bulgaria rose 9.6% year-on-year in December 2025, easing from a 12% increase in the previous month.

Price growth eased sharply in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply industry (15.7% vs. 28% in November).

In contrast, costs in the mining and quarrying sector accelerated (30.6% vs. 17%), driven mainly by steep rises in the mining of metal ores (39.7%) and coal and lignite (48.1%).

In the manufacturing sector, prices edged up slightly (10.3% vs. 10.2%) as increases were recorded in the manufacture of basic metals (28.8%), food products (18.7%), and beverages (14.9%), partly offset by price declines in tobacco products (-18%) and furniture (-11.9%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 1.4%, following a 1.6% increase in November.

Bulgaria Producer Inflation Eases in November
Producer prices in Bulgaria rose by 12% year-on-year in November 2025, slowing from a 13.5% increase in the previous month. Price growth moderated mainly for electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (29.9% vs 40.2% in October) and mining and quarrying (16.4% vs 16.8%), particularly for coal and lignite and other mining and quarrying. On the other hand, costs increased at a faster pace in the manufacturing sector (10.8% vs 10%), driven by higher prices for chemical and chemical products and basic metals. On a monthly basis, producer prices grew by 1.6% in November, easing from a 3.2% advance in the preceding period.

Bulgaria Producer Inflation at 7-Month High
Producer prices in Bulgaria climbed by 13.5% year-on-year in October 2025, accelerating from an 8.5% increase in the previous month. This marked the highest reading since March, as prices surged for electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (40.2% vs 10.6% in September). Additionally, costs continued to rise for mining and quarrying (16.8% vs 22.4%) and manufacturing (10% vs 11.4%). On a monthly basis, producer prices grew by 3.2% in October, rebounding from a 0.4% fall in the preceding period.
