Azerbaijan’s consumer prices fell 0.1% month-on-month in July 2026, following a sharper 0.3% decline in June. The slower decline was reflected in food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco prices, which fell 0.4% after decreasing 0.7% in the previous month. Food prices alone declined 0.4%, compared with a 0.8% drop in June, mainly due to lower prices for vegetables and fruit, while egg prices increased. Meanwhile, non-food prices were unchanged after rising 0.1% in June, as higher prices for paint, passenger car spare parts and engine oils were offset by lower jewelry prices. Services prices increased 0.3%, following a 0.1% rise in June, driven by higher apartment rents, domestic leisure tours and catering services. On an annual basis, consumer prices rose by 5.8% in July, the same pace as in the preceding period and still the highest reading since October last year. source: Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan
