Austria Industrial Output Growth Eases in April

Industrial production in Austria rose 0.6% year-on-year in April 2026, slowing from a 1.7% reading in the previous month.
The increase was driven mainly by a rebound in the construction sector (1.6% vs -0.7% in March) and a modest increase in industrial production (0.4% vs 0.3%).
Among the main industrial groupings, capital goods recorded the strongest growth (4.0% vs 2.5%).
Output growth slowed for intermediate goods (1.9% vs 2.0%) and consumer durables (4.0% vs 9.2%).
Meanwhile, the decline in energy output eased (-5.2% vs -11.3%), while consumer non-durables fell at a faster pace (-5.8% vs -3.0%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output decreased 0.1% in April.
