Argentina Consumer Confidence Rises In June

Argentina’s consumer confidence index rose 6.41% month-over-month to 42.71 points in June 2026.

All sub-indexes advanced, with the strongest gain in Durable Goods and Real Estate (7.80%), followed by Personal Situation (7.79%), while the Macroeconomic Situation index rose 4.37%.

Both Present Conditions and Future Expectations improved, with Present Conditions posting the sharper increase at 8.77% and Future Expectations rising 4.85%.

By region, confidence increased across all areas, led by Greater Buenos Aires (10.01%), followed by Buenos Aires (4.78%) and the Interior (2.06%).

The Interior continued to record the highest reading at 46.33 points, while Greater Buenos Aires remained the lowest at 40.70 points.

By income level, confidence rose in both segments, with lower-income households up 7.16% and higher-income households increasing 5.34%.

Higher-income households continued to post the stronger reading at 44.09 points, compared with 40.66 points for lower-income households.

Argentina’s consumer confidence index edged up to 40.14 in May 2026, representing a monthly increase of 1.26%. Among the sub-indexes, the Macroeconomic Situation component posted the strongest gain, rising 4.46%, followed by Durable Goods and Real Estate, up 0.83%, while the Personal Situation sub-index fell 2.18%. Regionally, confidence increased across all areas, led by Buenos Aires City with a 6.42% rise, followed by Greater Buenos Aires (0.48%) and the Interior (0.10%). The Interior continued to post the highest confidence level at 45.39 points, while Greater Buenos Aires remained the lowest at 37 points. By income level, low-income households recorded a 6.86% increase in confidence, while high-income households posted a 1.68% decline. Still, high-income households continued to show a higher confidence level overall, at 41.86 points versus 37.94 points for low-income households.

Argentina Consumer Confidence Hits Nine-Month Low
Argentina’s consumer confidence dropped to 40 in April 2026, marking its lowest level since September 2025 and a 5.7% decrease from March. All sub-indices recorded negative monthly variations, with the sharpest decline in Durable Goods and Real Estate (-9.51%), followed by Macroeconomic Situation (-4.30%) and Personal Situation (-3.96%). Both Present Conditions (-9.03%) and Future Expectations (-3.30%) fell. Declines were seen across all income levels, most severely among low-income households (-12.60%) compared to high-income households (-1.80%). Regionally, the Interior saw the steepest drop (-10.57%), followed by CABA (-6.69%) and GBA (-1.53%). On a year-on-year basis, the index fell 10.12%.
