Argentina Consumer Confidence Rebounds to 11-Month High

Argentina’s Consumer Confidence Index rose 2.2% month-over-month to 46.6 in January 2026, resuming its recovery after the previous month’s decline to the highest level in eleven months.
Current conditions strengthened while future expectations weakened.
The current conditions index increased 7.88% from December, while future expectations fell 1.40%.
Among sub-indices, durable goods and real estate rose 9.90%, the macroeconomic situation declined 2.23%, and the personal situation increased 1.83%.
Regionally, the Interior posted the largest monthly increase, at 7.90%, while Greater Buenos Aires recorded a marginal 0.07% decline.
By income level, confidence increased 1.27% among high-income households and rose 3.32% among low-income households.
On a year-on-year basis, the index declined 1.72% from January 2025.
