Swiss Investor Confidence Turns Positive in July

Swiss investor sentiment improved to 10.0 in July 2026 from -25.0 in June, returning to positive territory for the first time since the outbreak of the Middle East conflict in February, according to the UBS & CFA Society Switzerland survey.
The expectations index rose sharply to +9.5 from +2.8 in the previous month, signaling stronger optimism about the economic outlook.
Meanwhile, the current conditions gauge edged up to +6.7 in July from +2.4 in June, indicating a further improvement in assessments of the present economic environment.
UBS also noted that the share of analysts expecting higher oil prices reached its highest level in twelve months, leaving expectations evenly split between rising and falling oil prices.
