Switzerland’s producer and import prices dropped by 1.7% year-on-year in October 2025, following a 1.8% decline in the previous month.
This marked the 30th consecutive month of producer deflation, driven by decreases in both producer prices (-1.3% vs -1.4% in September) and import costs (-2.7% vs -2.7%).
On a monthly basis, producer and import prices fell by 0.3% in October, missing market forecasts of a 0.1% gain and slipping further from a 0.2% loss in the preceding period, with computer, electronic and optical products contributing most to the drop.
