Slovakia Q3 GDP Growth Confirmed at 0.9%

Slovakia’s economy expanded by 0.9% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, matching initial estimates and up from a 0.6% increase in the previous quarter.
This was the fastest pace since the fourth quarter of 2024, supported by solid gains in manufacturing (2.7%), industry (2.1%), financial and insurance activities (1.5%), and information and communication (2%).
On the expenditure side, gross fixed capital formation rose (4.5% vs 3.9%), while consumer spending (0.4% vs 2%) and government spending (1.6% vs 1.9%) both declined.
At the same time, net trade contributed negatively to the GDP, as exports slowed to 1.3% from 3.8% in the previous quarter, and imports moderated to 0.2% from 2.8%.
On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the economy grew 0.3% in Q3, in line with initial estimates of 0.3% in the prior period.
