Serbia Building Permits Fall in October

The number of building permits issued in Serbia fell 2.9% year-on-year to 3,511 in October 2025, following a 3.1% increase in the previous month.
Of these, 86.8% were for buildings and 13.2% for civil engineering constructions.
For buildings, 85.5% of permits were for residential and 14.5% for non-residential buildings.
Among civil engineering works, 77.3% concerned pipelines, communication, and electric power lines.
Construction of 4,291 dwellings with an average floor space of 70.1 m² was recorded, including 9.2% in single-dwelling buildings, and 89.6% in buildings with three or more dwellings.
The anticipated value of new construction works reached 88.0% of total, highest in Beogradska oblast (54.8%), followed by Šumadijska (21.9%) and Sremska (5.3%).
