Serbia Building Permits Drop in November

The number of building permits issued in Serbia fell 3.1% year-on-year to 2,724 in November 2025, following a 2.9% decrease in the previous month.
Of the total, 83.2% were for buildings and 16.8% for civil engineering constructions.
Within buildings, 84.4% of permits were for residential construction and 15.6% for non-residential.
Among civil engineering works, 73.3% related to pipelines, communication, and electric power lines.
Construction of 4,451 dwellings was recorded with an average floor space of 62.4 m², including 7.0% in single-dwelling buildings, and 92.4% in buildings with three or more dwellings.
The anticipated value of new construction works reached 92.4% of the total, highest in Beogradska oblast (61.6%), followed by Južnobacka (6.3%) and Pomoravska (4.3%).
