Paraguay Consumer Confidence Improves

Paraguay's Consumer Confidence Index rose to 41.23 in June 2026 from 38.21 in May, although it remained below the neutral threshold.

The Economic Situation Index increased by 3.21 points to 30.25, reflecting an improvement in households' assessment of current conditions.

Meanwhile, the Economic Expectations Index rose by 2.83 points to 52.21.

Regarding saving intentions, 15.0% of respondents said they were willing to save, up 4.0 percentage points from May.

Willingness to purchase durable goods also improved across all categories compared with the previous month.

On an annual basis, however, consumer confidence was weaker, with both the Economic Situation and Expectations indices remaining below their June 2025 levels.

Paraguay’s Consumer Confidence Index fell to 38.21 in May 2026 from 40.17 in April, remaining below the neutral threshold. The Economic Situation Index declined by 2.29 points from the previous month to 27.04, reflecting weaker assessments of current conditions. Meanwhile, the Economic Expectations Index eased by 1.62 points to 49.38. Regarding saving intentions, 11.0% of respondents reported being willing to save, down 4.5 percentage points from April. Willingness to purchase durable goods weakened across all categories, with the exception of household appliances, which remained unchanged.
