Norway Manufacturing Output Stalls in July

Norway’s manufacturing production stalled month-on-month in July 2025, following a 0.1% decline in the previous month.
Output rebounded for textiles, wearing apparel and leather (4.8% vs -0.3% in June), wood and wood products (0.6% vs -0.6%), computer and electrical equipment (1% vs -1.6%), repair, installation of machinery (3.7% vs -0.3%), and furniture and manufacturing n.e.c (2.4% vs -2.5%).
In addition, output rose at a faster pace for food, beverages and tobacco (2% vs 0.3%), machinery and equipment (0.6% vs 0.5%), and ships, boats and oil platforms (3.3% vs 0.8%).
Meanwhile, output tumbled for transport equipment n.e.c (-15.7% vs 0.5%), printing, reproduction (-3.1% vs 2%), basic metals (-2.9% vs 3.3%), and fabricated metal products (-7% vs 1.8%).
On a yearly basis, manufacturing output increased by 1.1% in July 2025.
