Norway House Prices Accelerate in November

House prices in Norway rose 0.7% month-on-month in November 2025, the fastest pace since February and up from a 0.6% increase in October.

The average price for a home stood at NOK 4,774,083 at the end of the month.

Residential sales totaled 7,461 units in November, 2.8% higher than the same month last year.

The average time to sell a property extended to 54 days, up from 48 days in October.

Bergen and Stavanger, along with their surrounding areas, recorded the shortest selling periods at 20 and 24 days, while Tønsberg and the surrounding area saw the longest at 93 days.

Regionally, Tromsø (+2.8%), Hamar w/Stange (+2.5%), and Ålesund (+2.4%) posted the strongest month-on-month price gains, whereas Tønsberg with Færder (-1.7%) recorded the weakest.

On an annual basis, house prices rose 6.2% in November, accelerating from 5.8% growth in October.

Norway House Prices Rise 0.6% MoM in April
House prices in Norway rose by 0.6% month-on-month in April 2026, following a 0.1% gain in the previous month. Residential sales totaled 9,681 units, 2.3% fewer than in the corresponding month of the previous year, while 11,886 homes were listed for sale, 8.7% more than last year. The average time to sell a home was 49 days in April, slightly shorter than March’s 50 days. Bergen and Stavanger, along with surrounding areas, were sold the fastest, with selling periods of 14 and 17 days, respectively, while Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg had the longest selling period at 103 days. Regionally, Porsgrunn/Skien (+2.4%) recorded the highest price increase, followed by Kristiansand (+1.8%). Meanwhile, Follo saw the sharpest decline (-1.0%). On a yearly basis, house prices increased 3.8% in April, picking up from 3.0% in each of the previous two months. For the January–April period, prices were 5.6% higher compared with the same period a year earlier.

House prices in Norway rose by 0.1% month-on-month in March 2026, following a 0.3% drop in the previous month. Residential sales totaled 9,522 units, 2.2% fewer than in the corresponding month of the previous year, while 9,722 were listed for sale, 18.1% less than last year. The average time to sell a home was 50 days in March, shorter than February’s 59 days. Bergen and Stavanger, along with surrounding areas, had the fastest sales, with selling periods of 13 and 16 days, respectively, while Fredrikstad/Sapsborg had the longest selling period at 113 days. Regionally, Ålesund (+2%) had the highest price increase, followed by Tønsberg and Færder (+1.9%). Meanwhile, Porsgrunn/Skien (-2.3%) and Kristiansand (-0.4%) saw the sharpest declines. On a yearly basis, house prices stood at 3% in March, unchanged from the previous month. For the January-March period, prices were 4.5% higher compared with the same period a year ago.

Norway House Prices Fall 0.3% MoM in February
House prices in Norway decreased by 0.3% month-on-month in February 2026, following a 0.6% rise in the previous month. Residential sales totaled 7,862 units in February, 4.9% fewer than in the corresponding month of the previous year, while 8,165 homes were listed for sale, 1.0% more than last year. The average time to sell a home was 59 days in February, shorter than January's 62 days. Bergen and Stavanger, along with surrounding areas, had the fastest sales, with selling periods of 15 and 19 days, respectively, while Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg had the longest selling period at 122 days. Regionally, Porsgrunn/Skien recorded the highest price increase (+1.2%), followed by Bergen (+1.0%) and Bodø (+0.9%). Meanwhile, Tønsberg and Færder (-2.7%), Ålesund (-1.3%), and Oslo (-1.2%) saw the sharpest declines. On a yearly basis, house prices rose by 3.0%, easing from a 4.2% increase in January. For the January-February period, prices were 4.1% higher compared with the same period a year ago.
