Macau Tourist Arrivals Highest on Record

The number of tourist arrivals in Macau increased by 15.5% year-on-year, reaching a record high of 4.22 million in August 2025, following a 14.5% rise in the previous month.
Same-day visitors climbed by 25.1%, while overnight visitors rose by 3.4%.
The average length of stay for visitors held steady from a year earlier at 1.1 days, with the duration of stay for overnight visitors remaining unchanged at 0.3 days and for same-day visitors also unchanged at 2.3 days.
By source market, arrivals from Mainland China grew by 18.4% to 3.26 million, with those travelling under the Individual Visit Scheme rising by 22.2%.
Additionally, visitors from Hong Kong went up by 2.8% to 681.74 thousand, while those from Taiwan increased by 21.0% to 89.06 thousand.
For the first eight months of the year, total visitor arrivals rose by 15.0% to 26.90 million.
