Macau Inflation Rises to 14-Month High

The annual inflation rate in Macau rose to 0.60% in October 2025, the highest since August 2024, accelerating from 0.47% in the previous month.
Price growth accelerated in food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.70% vs 0.56% in September), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.48% vs 0.89%), household furnishings and services (0.52% vs 0.23%), health (0.69% vs 0.63%), transport (0.59% vs 0.44%), and miscellaneous goods and services (1.92% vs 1.14%).
At the same time, prices declined at a softer pace in clothing and footwear (-1.07% vs -1.43%) and information and communication (-2.57% vs -2.94%).
Conversely, growth slowed in housing & fuels (0.33% vs 0.37%) and recreation, sport, and culture (2.35% vs 2.81%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.03% in October, following a 0.1% rise in September.
