Lithuania Producer Prices Drop for 11th Month

Producer prices in Lithuania dropped by 0.9% year-on-year in November 2025, matching the pace of the previous month’s upwardly revised decline.

This marked the eleventh consecutive month of producer deflation, mainly due to lower costs in the manufacturing sector (-1.1% vs -0.9% in October).

Additionally, producer inflation moderated for mining and quarrying (1% vs 2.5%).

On the other hand, prices recovered for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning (0.1% vs -1.1%), while it increased further water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (4.1% vs 2.6%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 0.5% in November, after a stagnant reading in the preceding period.

Producer prices in Lithuania fell by 3.9% year-on-year in January 2026, following a 3% drop in the previous month. This marked the thirteenth consecutive month of producer deflation and the sharpest contraction since October 2024, as costs declined at a faster pace in the manufacturing sector (-4.6% vs -3.4% in December), particularly in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (-21.6% vs -15.3%). Additionally, price growth slowed for mining and quarrying (1% vs 1.7%). On the other hand, costs increased for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (3.4% vs 2.7%), while prices recovered for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning (2.6% vs -0.7%). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 0.4% in January, rebounding from a 1.8% fall in the preceding period.

This marked the twelfth consecutive month of producer deflation and the sharpest contraction in eight months, as costs decreased for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (2.7% vs 4.1% in November). Additionally, prices declined further for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning (-0.7% vs -0.5%) and manufacturing (-3.4% vs -0.9%), particularly in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (-15.3% vs -4.1%). Meanwhile, costs increased for mining and quarrying (1.7% vs 1%). On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped by 1.8% in December from an upwardly revised 0.6% growth in the preceding period.
