Lithuania Industrial Output Growth Accelerates in October

Lithuania’s industrial production rose by 3.6% year-on-year in December 2025, following a downwardly revised 2.1% growth in the previous month. This marked the fourth consecutive month of growth in industrial activity as output increased in the manufacturing sector (3.6% vs 2.2% in November). At the same time, production recovered in mining and quarrying (5.7% vs -1.9%), while it contracted softer for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (-10.6% vs -10.8%). On the other hand, output declined sharply for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-12.2% vs -3.4%). On a monthly basis, industrial production fell by 0.3% in November, following a downwardly revised 2.3% gain in the preceding period.

Lithuania’s industrial production rose by 2.6% year-on-year in November 2025, following an upwardly revised 1.9% growth in the previous month. This marked the highest industrial activity since June, as output increased in manufacturing (3.5% vs 1.4% in October). On the other hand, activity declined in mining and quarrying (-2.9% vs 2.2%) and electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-3.4% vs 12.9%), while production in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services contracted further (-15.6% vs -11.5%). On a monthly basis, industrial output surged 5.8% in November, the strongest increase in over three years, rebounding sharply from an upwardly revised 1.1% decline in the preceding period.

Lithuania’s industrial production increased by 1.8% year-on-year in October 2025, accelerating from a downwardly revised 0.2% rise in the previous month. The upturn was mainly driven by a rebound in manufacturing (1.4% vs. -0.1% in September), and a stronger output growth in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (9.4% vs. 5.3%). In contrast, activity growth in mining and quarrying moderated (2.6% vs. 3.9%), while production in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services contracted further (-11.6% vs. -8.1%). On a monthly basis, industrial output declined 0.5%, following a downwardly revised 2.0% drop in September.
