Lithuania Current Account Surplus Widens in June

Lithuania’s current account surplus widened sharply to EUR 437.5 million in June 2026 from EUR 191.5 million in the same month a year earlier.
The services account surplus increased to EUR 985.4 million from EUR 791.9 million, while the secondary income account shifted to a EUR 346.5 million surplus from a deficit of EUR 17.9 million.
On the other hand, the goods account deficit widened to EUR 695.1 million from EUR 408.5 million, driven largely by a larger increase in imports, which rose by EUR 824.7 million to EUR 4,175.1 million, compared with a EUR 538.1 million increase in exports to EUR 3,480 million.
The primary income deficit also rose to EUR 199.4 million from EUR 174 million a year ago.
