Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan rose 16.8% year-on-year in April 2026, easing slightly from 17.4% in the previous month.
Manufacturing growth softened (20.7% vs. 22.3% in March), mainly due to slower output in basic metals (15.2% vs. 22.2%) and rubber and plastics products (12.1% vs. 19.2%).
Growth in mining and quarrying also moderated (7% vs. 10.2%).
Meanwhile, output rebounded for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (3.6% vs. -4.1%), while water supply growth accelerated (9.5% vs. 7.3%).
In the first four months of the year, industrial activity expanded 14.7%, slightly higher than the 14.2% growth recorded in the same period a year earlier.
