Kyrgyzstan Producer Prices Change at 0.70 percent  
Producer prices in Kyrgyzstan increased 0.7 percent year-on-year in September of 2017, after being flat in the previous month. It is the highest producer inflation since June, as prices surged for mining and quarrying (20.8 percent vs 15.7 percent in August), driven by rising cost of crude oil and natural gas production (57.6 percent vs 42.1 percent). Also, prices advanced for water supply and residuals treatment (1.1 percent vs 1 percent). Meanwhile, cost was flat for manufacturing (after dropping 0.8 percent) and slowed for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (0.3 percent vs 0.4 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 1.1 percent, compared to a 0.2 percent gain in August

Consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan increased 3.3 percent year-on-year in September of 2017, easing from 3.8 percent in the previous month. It is the lowest inflation rate since March. Prices slowed for food & non-alcoholic beverages (3.3 percent vs 4.2 percent in August); clothing & footwear (3.4 percent vs 4.3 percent); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (2.2 percent vs 2.6 percent) and transport (1.9 percent vs 3.9 percent). Additional downward pressure came from: miscellaneous goods & services (2.1 percent vs 2.4 percent); health (6 percent vs 7.3 percent); education (6 percent vs 6.5 percent); housing & utilities (-1.4 percent vs -2.5 percent) and household appliances & equipment (-0.2 percent vs 0.5 percent). Also, the annual inflation rate was steady for communication (20 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged down 0.3 percent, after declining 0.2 percent in August.
