Hungary Construction Output Growth Slows in October

Hungary's construction output increased by 9.7% year-on-year in October 2025, easing from a 17.6% surge in the previous month, which had marked the strongest expansion since February 2022.
Growth in civil engineering works slowed sharply to 3.7% from an over one-year high of 17.1% in September, while building construction moderated to 14.7% from a nearly two-year high of 18.3%.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output fell by 1.9% in October, reversing the 16.4% rise recorded in the prior month.
Over the January-October period, Hungary’s construction activity increased by 2.5%.
