Hungary Construction Output Rises the Most in Over 3 Years

Hungary’s construction output climbed by 17.6% year-on-year in September 2025, marking the largest expansion since February 2022, rebounding from a downwardly revised 14.6% fall in the previous month.
Output recovered across both indices, with civil engineering advancing by 17.1% after a 34.7% slump, while building construction grew by 18.3%, shifting from a 1.4% decline in August.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output increased by 16.4%, following a revised 11.3% decline in the preceding period.
From the January-September period, Hungary’s construction activity rose by 1.7%.
