Danish Net Jobless Rate Highest Since 2021

The unemployment rate in Denmark increased to 2.6 percent in July 2024 from 2.5% in the previous eleven months.

It was the highest jobless rate since October 2021, as the number of unemployed rose by 0.8 thousand from a month earlier to 76.9 thousand.

Net unemployed recipients of unemployment benefits climbed by 0.6 thousand to 68.1 thousand, while the number of unemployed recipients of social assistance declined by 0.2 thousand to 8.7 thousand.

Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate, which measures the number of job-seekers between 16 to 24 years old, stood at 1.1%.
