Cyprus Wages Ticks Up 4.4% YoY in Q4

Average gross monthly earnings of employees in Cyprus increased by 4.4% year-on-year, reaching EUR 2,932 in the fourth quarter of 2025, following a 4.3% rise in the previous quarter.

Wages for men rose by 4.2% to EUR 3,102, up from EUR 2,622 in Q3.

Meanwhile, wages for women increased by 4.5% to EUR 2,718, compared with EUR 2,238 in the previous quarter.

For the full year, average monthly earnings grew by 4.9% to EUR 2,605 in 2025, up from EUR 2,483 in 2024.

The median gross monthly earnings stood at EUR 1,968.

Average gross monthly earnings of employees in Cyprus eased by 3.7% year-on-year to EUR 2,601 in the first quarter of 2026, following a 4.4% increase in the previous quarter. This marked the weakest wage growth since the third quarter of 2021. Wages for men rose by 3.3% to EUR 2,776 from EUR 2,687in Q1 2025. Meanwhile, wages for women increased by 4.2% to EUR 2,378, compared with EUR 2,282. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, average gross monthly earnings rose by 0.8% to EUR 2,652.
