Industrial production in Cyprus increased by 1.4% year-on-year in April 2026, slowing from an upwardly revised 4.9% increase in the previous month.
This marked the lowest increase since October 2024.
The moderation was driven by slower growth in mining and quarrying (4.5% vs. 9.2% in March), manufacturing (0.6% vs. 3.1%), and electricity supply (6.9% vs. 19.0%).
Meanwhile, water collection, treatment and supply accelerated (15.4% vs. 13.9%), while water supply and materials recovery edged higher (4.4% vs. 4.1%).
Separately, materials recovery remained in contraction, with output falling at a steeper pace (-9.1% vs. -7.1%).
For the January-April period, industrial output grew 1.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
