Industrial production in Cyprus grew by 4.7% year-on-year in March 2026, reversing a 2.1% decline in the previous month.
The rebound was mainly driven by a sharp increase in electricity supply (19.0% vs -13.0% in February), mining and quarrying (9.2% vs -2.1 %), and manufacturing (2.8% vs -1.7%), particularly the manufacture of food, beverages and tobacco products (3.5% vs -3.9%), rubber and plastic products (7.1% vs 1.9%), and other non-metallic mineral products (4.5% vs -4.2%).
Meanwhile, output growth eased for water supply and materials recovery (3.9% vs 5.2%).
In the first quarter of 2026, industrial output increased 1.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
