Cyprus Industrial Output Growth at 7-Month High

Industrial production in Cyprus rose 4.7% year-on-year in September 2025, following an upwardly revised 0.9% gain in the previous month.

This marked the strongest growth since February, as output increased sharply in manufacturing (4.7% vs 1.9% in August) and in water supply and materials recovery (5.6% vs 2.8%).

At the same time, output rebounded in mining and quarrying (0.5% vs -2.6%) and electricity supply (5.3% vs -2.6%).

For the January-September 2025 period, industrial output was higher by 3.0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Industrial production in Cyprus rose 8.5% year-on-year in November 2025, following an upwardly revised 4.0% gain in the previous month. This marked the strongest growth since May 2022, as output surged in the mining and quarrying sector (32.5% vs 6.2% in October) and in manufacturing (9.6% vs 4.8%), particularly in non-metallic mineral products, machinery and equipment, motor vehicles and other transport equipment, and furniture, other manufacturing and repairing and installation of machinery and equipment. At the same time, electricity supply fell at a slower pace (-0.9% vs -3.4%). On the other hand, activity moderated in water supply and materials recovery (4.7% vs 7.4%). Over the January to November 2025 period, industrial output was higher by 3.7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Cyprus Industrial Output Growth Slows in October
Industrial production in Cyprus rose by 3.5% year-on-year in October 2025, easing from a seven-month high of 4.7% growth in the previous month. Output in mining and quarrying fell 1.7% compared with 0.5% increase in September, while electricity supply dropped 3.4%, down from a 5.3% rise. At the same time, production growth slowed in the manufacturing sector (4.3% vs 4.7%), driven by lower output for textiles, wearing apparel and leather products and refined petroleum products, chemicals and chemical products and pharmaceutical products and preparations. On the other hand, activity increased at a faster pace for water supply and materials recovery (7.4% vs 5.6%). Considering the January to October 2025 period, industrial output was higher by 3.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
