Croatia Retail Sales Hit 6-Month High

Retail sales growth in Croatia increased by 4.8% year-on-year in December 2025, from a more than two-year low of 1.4% in the previous month.
This marked the highest level since June, as sales rose at a faster pace for non-food products (5.6% vs. 4.2% in November), automotive fuels and lubricants (9.4% vs. 6.8%), and trade, excluding automotive fuels and lubricants, in specialized stores (4.9% vs. 1%).
In addition, sales rebounded for food, beverages, and tobacco (4% vs. -2.6%).
Meanwhile, trade via the internet or mail order declined (-0.8% vs. 7.9%).
On a monthly basis, retail activity rose 0.7%, rebounding from a 0.5% fall in the previous month.
