Bosnia Current Account Deficit Widens in Q4

The current account deficit in Bosnia and Herzegovina widened to BAM 445.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2025 from BAM 411.9 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.

The deficit in goods and services expanded to BAM 1,895.4 million from BAM 1,818.4 million in the Q4 2024.

At the same time, the primary income gap also increased to BAM 98.3 million from BAM 84.6 million.

Meanwhile, the secondary income surplus rose to BAM 1,548.1 million from BAM 1,491.1 million, partially offsetting the widening deficits in other components.

Bosnia Current Account Deficit Shrinks in Q2
The current account deficit in Bosnia and Herzegovina narrowed to BAM 383.2 million in the second quarter of 2025 from BAM 410.4 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. The improvement was mainly driven by the increase in the secondary income surplus to BAM 1,406.7 million from BAM 1,390.4 million in Q2 2024, as well as a shift in primary income to a surplus of BAM 82.3 million from a deficit of BAM 2 million. On the other hand, the goods and services gap widened to BAM 1,872.2 million from BAM 1,798.9 million in the same period last year.
