Belgium GDP Expands 0.2% in Q1 2026

Belgium’s economy expanded by 0.2% quarter-on-quarter in the first three months of 2026, in line with market forecasts and slightly above the 0.1% growth recorded in the previous quarter, according to preliminary estimates.
Growth was driven by gains in the construction sector, which rose 0.4%, and the services sector, which increased by 0.3%.
Meanwhile, industrial output contracted by 0.1%.
On a year-on-year basis, GDP rose 0.8%, marking the slowest annual growth since the first quarter of 2021, following a revised 0.9% increase in the previous quarter.
