Armenia Trade Gap Widens in May

Armenia’s trade deficit widened to USD 457.5 million in May 2026 from USD 429.8 million in the same month a year earlier.
Exports fell 11.3% year-on-year to USD 522.7 million, while imports decreased 3.8% to USD 980.2 million.
During the first five months of the year, the country posted a trade deficit of USD 2,134.9 million, up from USD 1,919.2 million in the corresponding period of last year, with exports declining 3.7% and imports rising 2.2%.
