Vietnam’s industrial production increased by 15.0% year-on-year in October 2026, accelerating from 14.2% in September and marking its strongest growth since January.

Among manufacturing activities, metal production accelerated (27.3% vs. 20.9%), while growth in electrical equipment manufacturing strengthened (10.1% vs. 4.7%).

Meanwhile, growth in the mining industry slowed (4.9% vs. 6.6%), while water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment eased (7.8% vs. 10.9%).
On a monthly basis, production grew by 2.3%.
For the January-October period, industrial production expanded 12.4% from the same period a year earlier.
