Vietnam's industrial production expanded 14.5% year-on-year in July 2026, accelerating from an upwardly revised 12.9% increase in June and marking its strongest growth in six months, since January 2026.
The pickup was driven by faster growth in manufacturing and processing (15.0% vs. 12.8% in June) and water supply, waste management, and wastewater treatment (14.9% vs. 10.1%).
Meanwhile, growth in mining and quarrying was unchanged at 10.4%.
In contrast, electricity production and distribution growth eased to 12.5% from 15.2%.
On a monthly basis, industrial output rose 1.2%, signaling continued strength in the sector.
For the January-July period, industrial production increased 11.4% compared with the same period a year earlier.
