The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce's Consumer Confidence Index increased to 50.7 in June 2026 from 49.5 in the previous month, which was its lowest level since November 2022.
It was the first increase since February and the highest reading in three months, helped by lower oil prices and new government support.
Consumers' concerns over the Middle East conflict eased as the conflict moderated, leading to lower domestic and global oil prices.
The government's initial economic stimulus measures also boosted consumer confidence, supporting domestic purchasing power.
This contributed to the broader recovery of the Thai economy and improved the cost of living for consumers.
