Singapore Forex Reserves Stay at 2022 High

Foreign exchange reserves in Singapore rose to SGD 544.1 billion in April 2026 from an upwardly revised SGD 544.1 billion in the previous month, still marking the highest level since February 2022.
The reserve components increased, with gold and foreign exchange climbing to SGD 534.0 billion from SGD 531.6 billion in March.
At the same time, the IMF reserve position edged up to SGD 1.86 billion from SGD 1.80 billion.
Meanwhile, special drawing rights eased to SGD 8.24 billion from SGD 8.30 billion.
In the same month a year earlier, reserves stood at SGD 508.2 billion.
