Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports (NODX) soared 68.4% year-on-year in September 2026, accelerating sharply from a downwardly revised 46.1% increase in August and far exceeding forecasts of 33.8%.
It marked the 23rd consecutive month of expansion and the strongest growth on record, mainly driven by electronics exports, which surged 107.6% compared with 131.6% in August, supported by robust AI-related demand.
Electronic exports were boosted by disk media products (312.4%), PCs (149.5%), and integrated circuits (ICs) (74.7%).
Meanwhile, non-electronic exports growth accelerated to 54.2% from an 11.9% increase in August, due to higher shipments of non-monetary gold (124.3%) and specialised machinery (50.4%).
Exports to nine of the 10 major markets increased, with shipments to Hong Kong surging 121.1%, while those to India fell 5.6%.
On a monthly basis, NODX jumped 25.5% following a downwardly revised 10.8% increase in August, marking the fastest increase on record.
