Saudi Arabia Industrial Activity Shows Solid Growth

Industrial production in Saudi Arabia climbed by 10.4% year-on-year in January 2026, following an upwardly revised 10.1% surge in the previous month.
This marked the strongest growth since October 2022, bolstered by higher output in mining and quarrying (+13.3%).
Saudi Arabia increased its oil production to 10.1 million barrels per day in January 2026 compared to 8.9 million barrels per day in January 2025.
Manufacturing activity also advanced at a solid 6.8%, driven by notable gains in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+9.1%); chemicals and chemical products (+10.6%) and food products (+9.1%).
Conversely, output declined by 1.3% for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
On a monthly basis, industrial activity fell by 0.5% in January, after a revised 1.1% increase in the prior month.
