Paraguay Inflation Rises in September

Paraguay’s annual inflation rate edged higher to 1.7% in September 2026 from 1.5% in August, remaining well below the central bank’s 3.5% target.
The largest price increases were recorded in fuels (18.9%) and food consumed outside the household (10.2%).
Overall food prices declined 1.0%, driven by lower prices for fruits and vegetables.
Meanwhile, services prices rose 0.5%, while income inflation stood at 3.8%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.1%, following a flat reading in August.
